Remote Engine Immobiliser – Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing the TrackN Remote Engine Immobiliser. Please read the information below so you understand how the product works and your responsibilities when using it.

1. About the Product

The TrackN Remote Engine Immobiliser:

  • Allows you to remotely prevent your vehicle’s engine from starting or restarting.
  • Is designed to help reduce theft and improve asset security.
  • Must only be used in a legal, responsible and safe manner.

2. Who Can Use It

  • You must be the owner of the vehicle, or have written permission from the owner, to install and use the immobiliser.
  • You are responsible for informing any drivers or operators that an immobiliser is installed and may be used.

3. Installation

  • The immobiliser must be installed by a qualified auto-electrician or approved installer.
  • TrackN is not responsible for issues caused by incorrect installation, wiring damage, water or liquid damage, or any modification to the device or its wiring.
  • Any tampering with the device, wiring, fuses or power supply may void your warranty.

4. Using Remote Immobilisation

  • You must only immobilise a vehicle when it is safe and legal to do so, ideally when the vehicle is parked and not moving.
  • You accept full responsibility for deciding when to activate or deactivate immobilisation.
  • TrackN is not liable for accidents, damage, loss or injuries caused by immobilising a moving vehicle or using the product in an unsafe way.

5. Connectivity & Performance

  • The device relies on mobile network (e.g. 4G/5G) and GPS coverage to operate certain features.
  • Performance may be affected in areas with poor or no reception, such as tunnels, underground car parks, remote regions or dense built-up areas.
  • TrackN will take reasonable steps to provide a reliable service, but we cannot guarantee constant connection, uptime or immediate response.

6. Tracking, Data & Privacy

  • Location and usage data may be collected and stored so that the service can operate correctly.
  • TrackN stores data securely and does not sell your data to third parties.
  • We may share data only when you request it (for example, with your insurer) or when required by law.
  • If vehicles are driven by staff, contractors or hirers, you are responsible for complying with all relevant privacy and workplace laws, including driver consent where required.

7. Warranty

  • The TrackN Remote Engine Immobiliser hardware is supplied with a 3-year hardware warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use.
  • The warranty does not cover:
    • Incorrect installation or wiring, including poor earths or power supply issues;
    • Physical damage, impact, water ingress or exposure outside the rated protection level;
    • Damage caused by vehicle electrical faults, voltage spikes or modifications; and
    • Unauthorised repairs, modifications or tampering.
  • The immobiliser helps reduce theft risk, but no system can guarantee 100% theft prevention.

8. Fees, SIM & Subscriptions

  • Some features, such as live tracking or remote control via an online platform or app, may require an active subscription or SIM/data plan.
  • If subscription payments stop or your SIM/data plan expires, some or all services may be paused or disabled until payment is brought up to date.
  • Subscription terms, including fees, billing cycle and cancellation rules, will be set out in your plan or service agreement.

9. Liability

  • You are responsible for using the TrackN Remote Engine Immobiliser safely, legally and in line with these Terms & Conditions.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrackN is not responsible for:
    • Vehicle theft or attempted theft;
    • Loss of income, loss of use, towing costs or hire costs;
    • Any indirect or consequential loss; or
    • Injury, death or property damage arising from how and when the device is used.
  • Where liability cannot be excluded, TrackN’s total liability is limited to the replacement value of the hardware supplied or the minimum amount required by law.

10. Cancelling the Service

  • You may request cancellation of subscription-based services at any time by contacting TrackN via the details on our website.
  • If you are on a fixed-term contract or payment plan, early cancellation fees may apply as stated in your agreement.
  • Cancelling the service does not automatically remove the device from your vehicle; removal should be done by a qualified installer.

11. Changes to These Terms

  • TrackN may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
  • Any changes will be published on our website, and the “Last updated” date will be revised.
  • Your continued use of the product or service after changes are made means you accept the updated Terms & Conditions.

12. Agreement

By purchasing, installing, activating or using the TrackN Remote Engine Immobiliser, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
